AMoL Ch. 55: The Tower Falls

Egwene: Please! You must believe me. The Tower will be attacked any time now...
Stern Sedai #1: Really, child. Your delusions grow worse by the minute. Just yesterday you said I was going to die today, but... [the ceiling collapses on her]
[huge explosions shake the Tower; it begins to lean to one side]
Egwene: The Tower's going to fall over! We should do something!
Stern Sedai #2: Nonsense. The wind was unusually strong today. Close that window, child.
Accepted: [looking through the window] A huge swarm of strange flying beasts are outside! We're doomed! [lightning flashes outside, and a continuous rumbling sound can be heard]
[the Tower continues to lean farther and farther; people start sliding across the floor]
Egwene: Maybe we should all move toward the opposite side of the Tower to counterbalance it...
Stern Sedai #2: What a ridiculous idea, child! We will stay here and finish your lesson.
[a Seanchan breaks through the window and kills Stern Sedai #2]
Egwene: [holds the Seanchan in flows of air] We must move to the other side of the Tower! Let's go!
[meanwhile]
Elaida: What's going on around here! Someone tell me what to do!
Accepted: Mother, the Dark One is in the anteroom. He says he's come to take all our souls.
Elaida: Tell him to go away.
Red Aes Sedai: Maybe we should run away?
Elaida: Good idea--let's go. [runs into Egwene] Where are you going, child?
Egwene: Our only chance is to keep the Tower from falling over.
Elaida: It's too late, child. You stay here and watch over the novices, while we go about our very important duties. [starts running toward the stairs]
[suddenly, a gateway opens and Verin steps out, holding Mat by the scruff of the neck in one hand, and the Horn of Valere in the other]
Verin: I'm back, and not a moment too soon. Here, boy. [gives Mat the horn]
[Reluctantly, Mat blows the Horn and the Heroes appear]
Verin: Go ahead, boy. We're all counting on you. Don't let us down!
Heroes: So, Mat, why have you called us this time?
[Mat points at Elaida]
Elaida: Oh, sh*t...
