Duhara: Girl, you must return to the White Tower. Your attempted kidnapping was a big misunderstanding, and it won't happen again. Rest assured those responsible have been soundly beaten.
Elayne: If that's so, what's that large chest for, that you just carried in with you?
Duhara: Oh, that's nothing. Just some supplies for our trip back to the Tower.
Elayne: [opening the chest] Then, what are these nets, ropes, gags, packages of dried forkroot, whips, chains, and handcuffs for?
Duhara: Never mind those. Reds always carry that stuff around with them--it's just standard policy.

Karede: Hello. I'm here to speak to a Thom Merrilin. He's an Aes Sedai agent, and mastermind of a plot to kidnap Tuon.
Thom: So, you have found my secret hideout. Yes, it was I who left the false trail that you have so masterfully avoided. Mat here was just one unwilling pawn in my game, as were the rest of my companions.
Karede: Yes, but it doesn't matter, now that I have you where I want you. Surrender Tuon, and I promise no one will be harmed.
Thom: Ah, you fool! This is not your Daughter of the Nine Moons! [pulling off the false Tuon's disguise]
Karede: Empress!
Thom: [pulling off his own disguise] And now my deception is complete--behold!
Karede: No, it can't be! It's... it's... Narg!
