This was an idea I had quite awhile ago, actually. Bebop2606 and I were NBing each other a bit, and we somehow started making a list of differences we'd see if George R.R. Martin wrote WoT (using the same characters and same general plot). I added some more of my own to the list since then.
If GRRM wrote WoT
Elayne and Gawyn would have an incest scene or two.
After Rand and Aviendha made love the igloo would have melted and killed Avi.
Rand would then have made love to her corpse in his grief
Rand would then get tipped off that Elayne had killed Avi, so he kills Elayne
Min would then reveal that it was she who had masterminded Avi’s death and Elayne being blamed, but Rand is too nice and gives her the chance to escape.
Avi would come back from the dead as a living corpse and she and Rand would renew their relationship
Bain, Chiad, Hurin, Wieramon, Narishma, and Halwin Norry would all be dead
Rahvin, Be’lal, Asmodean and Sammael would all be back from the dead as zombies
Faile would screw Rolan during her torture
Sevanna would then kill Faile
Perrin would use Berelain to comfort himself
Asunawa and Galad would be gay lovers
The chapters would be named “Rand”, “Egwene”, “Mat”, “Perrin”, “Random Darkfriend” and after other main characters
Narg would be alive still, but he turns out to be just a mentally disabled stable boy who only speaks his own name. (“NARG! NAAARG!!” )
Gawyn, Rhuarc, Gaul, Dyelin, Bashere, Tam, and Morgase would all be dead
Bran al’Vere would be paralyzed
Frog men would talk to him
Loial would be teased and hated, and would have a concubine
The concubine would be Min
The Black Tower would convert to a new religion worshipping fire
The White Tower would be divided into three more factions, led by Romanda, Alviarin, and Laras the cook
By the end of the book 1 faction would be disbanded, 3 would have had their leaders killed in mystery and treachery, and the last would convert to the Black Tower’s fire-worshipping religion
Egwene, Pevara, Leane, Damer Flinn, Reanne Corly and Thom would all be dead
Rand would have made several bastards, all named “Jon Dragon”
Mat would have made lots of bastards, all named “Jon Dice”
Perrin might have a bastard or two as well, named “Jon Wolf”
The Seanchan would be led by Tuon and her three Dragons (Lews Theringal, Randion, and Guairegon)
All the Seanchan soldiers would have names like Grey Worm, Black Fly, and Squishy Frog
Moiraine would stay dead
Lan would have gone on a killing spree when she died
Elayne would have fully undressed and made love to Rand in the EotW garden scene.
Gawyn would have watched and played with himself.
Cadsuane, Valan Luca, Beslan, Alanna, Yukiri, Nicola, Lan, Jon Wolf, and Bela would all be dead
KoD would be rescheduled again and again until it is finally released in 2008, although only the first part of it is
The series would end with a mass orgy between the Trolloc hordes and Rand’s armies
Now, if GRRM wrote WoT, then it would be up to RJ to write ASoIaF.
If RJ wrote ASoIaF
No one would die
All graphic scenes would be cut.
The words “c*nt”, “nipple”, “member” would not once appear
Jaime would’ve had a change of heart and not killed Bran, becoming friends with him instead
Ned’s plan would have worked and Joffrey and Cersei would be disposed
Dany would shave her head and led The Return to conquer Westeros
She would have been kidnapped by Jon and be courted with rosebuds
Tyrion would be beautiful
Ygritte would not have died
Ygritte and Dany would fight over Jon, Ygritte being jealous and bitchy, Dany being seductive and forward.
Ygritte would be captured by the Wildlings, Jon will tear himself up in grief trying to rescue her.
Robb would’ve conquered all the other Kings in one go
Melisandre would have died in her first scene
Dany’s son would’ve mounted the world
Catelyn and Robb would have foiled the Red Wedding and killed the Freys
Robb would be married to both Jayne and the Frey daughter he was promised to, as well as a third woman who was a tavern wench that wears tight pants.
Sansa would have married Loras
Hodor wouldn’t be mentally disabled, but he’d be dead, his only lines of dialogue being “Hodor Smart. Hodor stay behind.”
Bran would be a squire, or even a knight, by now
Theon would have seen the light and not betrayed the Starks
The chapter titles would not be named after the person’s point of view. Instead, every third one would contain the words “threads”, “pattern”, and/or “wheel”.
Sansa’s wolf, Lady, would not have died
Arya’s wolf, Nymeria, would return leading a huge pack of wolves ready to fight for the Starks
Sansa would learn how to wash silk
There would be a Dark Winter Lord with many different names such as “Snowblower” and “Icemelter” and “Papa of Untruths”
Mance Rayder would be his avatar in this world
The Others would be his cheap fighting hordes
The Wildlings would be known as Winterfriends, and work in secret to try to kill important people, but never actually succeed in doing so.
Maesters would be openly respected, but secretly feared and hated by the populace for manipulating innocent people
There would be magical ways to Travel to different places in an instant, but communication between characters would somehow get worse
There would be a fansite called “ASoIaFmania” where hundreds of nerds come to discuss the book and obsess over popular theories like “Who killed Beric Dondarrion… for the 12th time?” and “Who is Lord Barrister posing as?”, and there would be cults worshipping Ghost, Hodor and the Crow that visits Bran.

Jon would have people coming up to him all the time saying "you look just like that Prince Rheagar"
